Sony officially announced and confirmed this news. Beyond this, Sony stated, “they will use the extra time to further polish the game”. The game was first initiated for a 2018 launch. However, the release date then got pushed to February 22, 2019. Some other major titles also share this release date. This includes EA’s Anthem, Microsoft’s Crackdown 3 and Deep Silver’s Metro Exodus. This could very well be Sony’s decision to avoid a cluttered launch.

Days Gone is about a badass biker who fights off the game’s zombie-like enemies, Freakers. The game has been in active development since 2015 and was first unveiled at E3 2016.
