Insurgency Sandstorm is now live on PC. Reviews for the game from game outlets and content creators are also now live. Insurgency Sandstorm is a sequel to the much-praised tactical shooter Insurgency. Insurgency came out on PC 4 years ago and it was based on the source engine. However, in the sequel, things look better in every way. Sandstorm is powered by the Unreal Engine 4 which is a major step up from the source engine. The developer New World Interactive showed yet again how much they care about their games and how the community feels about the game. The Devs have been putting some serious amount of hard work to iron out the issues Sandstorm had while its beta stage. They listened to the players thoroughly and made changes which resulted in a well-received launch.
However, the game still has some rough edges and could use a bit more polish. Since the Devs very much intend in supporting the game long term this issues will be fixed.
Now, let’s take a look at what some of the critics think about the game. At the time of this writing, Insurgency Sandstorm is sitting at a Metacritic score of 78% and user score at 91%

PC GamesN – 7/10
Insurgency: Sandstorm is a solid shooter that offers the series’ best intense, tactical thrills, but can’t help but feel behind the times in both theme and looks.

Game Crate – 8.2/10
Insurgency: Sandstorm’s slower, more realistic approach likely won’t win over any Call of Duty fans, but then again it’s not really trying to. Sandstorm was made with a very specific type of player in mind, and if you fit that mold you’ll likely get dozens if not hundreds of hours out of the game.
